Neeraj Chopra competes in CWG on July 30

Neeraj Chopra, 2021 Olympic gold and 2024 Olympic silver winner, returns to the Commonwealth Games after missing the 2022 edition due to injury.

Chopra faces top contenders including Arshad Nadeem of Pakistan, Anderson Peters of Grenada, Keshorn Walcott of Trinidad and Tobago, and Rumesh Pathirage of Sri Lanka.

The men's javelin event at the CWG 2026 begins with a qualifying round at Scotstoun Stadium in Glasgow on July 30 at 2:55 pm IST, where an 84m throw guarantees a final spot.
