BJP will procure all crops at MSP if voted to power in Punjab, says Saini
BJP will procure all agricultural and horticultural crops at minimum support price (MSP) if voted to power in Punjab, according to Haryana chief minister Nayab Singh Saini.
Saini spoke at an event in Faridkot's Kotkapura as part of the nationwide 'Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat Sankalp Abhiyaan' launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Saini cited Haryana's Bhavantar Bharpai Yojana, which compensates farmers if market rates fall below MSP, and said the BJP is committed to implementing a similar scheme in Punjab.
The scheme has been operational in Haryana since 2018 and has fixed protected prices for 24 horticultural crops.
Saini criticized the AAP government in Punjab, accusing it of failing to curb drug abuse and unemployment, and urged youth to stay away from drugs to realize the dream of a Viksit Bharat.
