Who is Anil Menon? All about the Indian-origin NASA astronaut aboard the ISS

Anil Menon is a NASA astronaut, emergency medicine physician, and lieutenant colonel in the United States Space Force.

Menon reached the ISS aboard Russia's Soyuz MS-29 spacecraft for his first space mission.

He was selected as part of NASA's 2021 astronaut class and completed over two years of training.

Before NASA, Menon was the first flight surgeon at SpaceX, developing the medical program for astronauts.

Menon will spend about eight months on the ISS conducting scientific research, technology demonstrations, and maintenance.
