His inclusion in India's Sri Lanka Test squad hinges on fitness clearance from the BCCI Centre of Excellence.

The medical team must establish whether Bumrah's knee can withstand the cumulative stress of a five-day Test match.

Bumrah's participation in a four-day practice match in Colombo from August 7 will indicate his availability for the Galle Test starting August 15.

Sai Sudharsan also has a fitness rider, but the BCCI has not disclosed the nature of his concern.
