Hoax bomb note inside IndiGo washroom triggers security scare at Bengaluru airport

A handwritten note reading 'Don’t Go, Bomb Hai! Please' was found inside an IndiGo aircraft lavatory at Bengaluru's Kempegowda International Airport.

The note was discovered 25 minutes before the scheduled departure of IndiGo flight 6E-6423 to Ahmedabad on July 17, 2026.

The aircraft was moved to an isolated bay, passengers and crew were evacuated, and security agencies conducted a search with bomb squads and sniffer dogs.

No explosives were found, and the threat was declared a hoax after a two-hour search.

The flight was delayed by over five hours, departing at 1:20 am instead of 8 pm.
