Over 5.24 lakh people remained affected across five districts despite overall improvement.

Papon thanked volunteers for relief work and highlighted devastation including flooded villages, homeless people, missing persons, and animal deaths.

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said power restoration was ongoing in affected districts.
