Gorakhpur: 9-year-old boy killed in revenge attack over eve-teasing complaint

Saras Singh, 9, was killed and his cousin Shiv Kumar, 16, critically injured in an attack in Pipraich on Saturday evening.

The attack occurred near Bella Kanta Crossing while they were on their way to a paan shop owned by Saras's father, Raju Singh.

Police say the assault was revenge for a complaint over alleged harassment of a Class 11 female relative in early July.

The accused, nearly half a dozen, used sticks, iron rods, and bricks; the incident led to extra police deployment.

An FIR was registered, and three police teams have been formed to arrest the fleeing suspects.
