50% quota for ex-Agniveers in CAPF, Assam Rifles posts: MHA
The Ministry of Home Affairs announced 50% reservation for ex-Agniveers in constable (general duty) and rifleman posts in CAPFs and Assam Rifles.
Ex-Agniveers will receive a three-year age relaxation in the upper age limit, and five years for the first batch.
Ex-Agniveers are exempted from physical standards test, physical efficiency test, and written examination for these posts.
A dedicated ex-Agniveer wing under the MHA has been established to coordinate progression of ex-Agniveers.
A December 2025 MHA notification increased the quota for ex-Agniveers in BSF constable posts from 10% to 50%.
