Universal acts on leaked 'The Odyssey' as film grosses $600M

Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey was leaked on social media and on Telegram, with Universal Pictures initiating takedown protocols.

Universal Pictures stated it takes copyright infringement seriously and will pursue appropriate remedies.

The film crossed $600 million globally in its second weekend, earning $87 million domestically and over $350 million internationally.

IMAX screens alone accounted for $48 million of the global earnings this weekend.

The Odyssey's second weekend earnings of $87 million exceeded the opening weekend of Nolan's Oppenheimer, which earned $82 million.
