PM Modi defends NEET leak response in video

PM Modi posted a midnight selfie video addressing the NEET-UG 2026 paper leak, saying the cabinet will discuss a draft bill and fast-track courts to curb leaks.
Opposition leaders Rahul Gandhi, Jairam Ramesh, and Mallikarjun Kharge called the video “hollow” and “desperate”, demanding Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation.
Jairam Ramesh noted Modi broke silence two months after protests started and failed to mention student protests or police action on July 20.
Mallikarjun Kharge said the Prime Minister should have made a statement in Parliament, not via a late-night video.
Rahul Gandhi demanded Pradhan's resignation and said the PM should not insult students' intelligence.
