No permission for march, prohibitory orders in force: Cops

Delhi Police stated no permission has been sought or granted for the march by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) to Parliament.

Prohibitory orders under Section 163 of the BNSS are in force across New Delhi district, banning assemblies of five or more persons and processions.

The prohibitory order covers the Sub Division Parliament Street but exempts Jantar Mantar Road, and is valid until August 22.

Violators face prosecution under Section 223 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and other laws.

Police have made strict security arrangements for the Monsoon Session of Parliament and urged public cooperation.
