NTA issues strong warning against fake NEET UG OMRs, says AI manipulation won't escape detection

The National Testing Agency (NTA) warned NEET UG 2026 candidates against submitting fake, AI-generated, or digitally altered OMR sheets and scorecards.

Offenses may lead to criminal prosecution under the Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2024, Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023, and the Information Technology Act, 2000.

Candidates submitting fabricated OMR sheets or scorecards risk cancellation of candidature and debarment from future exams.

The NTA stated that official records, including OMR sheet, roll number, barcode, and signatures, matched declared results in all reviewed cases.
