Second man arrested in 2023 murder of Indian-origin food delivery driver in Canada
Devaunte Thompson, 26, of Caledon, was arrested in Toronto on 16 July and charged with second-degree murder in the 2023 killing of Indian-origin food delivery driver Gurvinder Nath in Mississauga, Canada.
Gurvinder Nath, 24, of Brampton, was attacked and robbed of his vehicle on 9 July 2023 while working as a food delivery driver; he died from injuries.
Jazaine Kerr, 23, of Mississauga, was previously arrested on 15 February 2024 and charged with second-degree murder and possession of a prohibited firearm in connection with the same case.
Police obtained a Canada-wide warrant for Thompson after identifying him as a second suspect.
