Leaders calls for immediate relief, rehabilitation in flood affected areas of Rajouri, Poonch

Heavy rains caused flash floods in Rajouri and Poonch districts of Jammu division, killing 13 persons and leaving several missing.

Hundreds of residents were displaced as floodwaters inundated low-lying areas in Rajouri town.

Former Jammu and Kashmir chief ministers Mehbooba Mufti and Ghulam Nabi Azad called for immediate rescue, relief, and rehabilitation efforts.

Mehbooba Mufti urged deployment of adequate manpower, machinery, and resources to reach stranded families and evacuate those at risk.

Ghulam Nabi Azad demanded restoration of essential services and adequate compensation for affected families.
