VVS Laxman urges Vaibhav Sooryavanshi to ‘improve fitness’ after first Player of the Series win: ‘We want him to…’

VVS Laxman, India's stand-in coach for the Zimbabwe tour, urged 15-year-old Vaibhav Sooryavanshi to improve his overall fitness after he won his first Player of the Series award.
Sooryavanshi scored 81 runs in the third T20I against Zimbabwe, finishing the three-match series with 151 runs and becoming the youngest half-centurion for India in T20Is.
Laxman praised Sooryavanshi's eagerness to contribute, noting he wanted to stay on the field despite an injury from a diving catch, but was asked to come off by the physio.
Sooryavanshi's performance helped India register a whitewash, winning all three T20Is against Zimbabwe.
Laxman expressed confidence in Sooryavanshi's long career ahead, citing his ability to handle pressure in the IPL for Rajasthan Royals at age 14 or 15.
