Bengaluru doctor arrested for assaulting Bangladeshi couple

Dr. Nagendra of Sai Clinic in Bettadasapura, Bellandur was arrested for assaulting a Bangladeshi couple in Whitefield, Bengaluru.
Nasreena Bilal, 23, filed a complaint alleging that Dr. Nagendra beat her and her husband Mohammed Bilal, a driver, because they were Bangladeshi residents.
Dr. Nagendra was arrested by Bellandur police on Thursday and granted bail by a court.
Dr. Nagendra claimed he acted out of emotion due to the presence of illegal immigrants in the area.
Police stated that Dr. Nagendra could have alerted them instead of attacking the couple, and confirmed the victims are from Bangladesh.
