Mumbai Rains Return After Week-Long Lull; IMD Predicts More Showers As Lake Levels Cross 52%

Mumbai received moderate rainfall over the weekend after a week-long lull, with several areas recording over 50 mm.
The IMD issued a Yellow Alert till Monday 8:30 am and forecasts moderate showers for the next four days.
Total rainfall at Santacruz observatory reached 1606.8 mm (69.29% of annual average); Colaba recorded 1403.3 mm (66.98%).
Water storage in Mumbai's seven reservoirs rose to 52.39% of capacity; Tulsi and Vihar lakes already overflowed.
The BMC will decide on reversing water cuts only after all lakes fill to full capacity.
