Alert railway staff save disabled passenger at Lonavla

Railway pointsman Vallentine D'Souza and RPF constable Sikandara Sahani saved a disabled passenger at Lonavla station.

Amit, a resident of Karjat, fell near a moving train (11030 Kolhapur-CSMT Koyna Express) while attempting to board with crutches.

The duo pulled him away, preventing a fatal accident.

Amit was given first aid and counselling, then put on the next train.

Central Railway praised the staff's alertness and reiterated safety measures.
