Pune: Alert Railway Staff Save Differently-Abled Passenger From Moving Train At Lonavala Station

On July 29, the 11030 Kolhapur–CSMT Koyna Express arrived at Lonavala station at 6:25 pm and departed at 6:32 pm.

A physically challenged passenger using crutches lost his balance and fell dangerously close to the moving train while attempting to board the second-class general coach.

Pointsman Vallentine D'Souza and RPF constable Sikandara Sahani rushed to rescue the passenger, pulling him away from the train.

The passenger, identified as Amit from Karjat, was provided first aid and counselling, then accommodated on the next train.

Central Railway praised the staff's prompt action and reiterated the danger of boarding or alighting from moving trains.
