Berlin Pride attack: German police hunt ‘dangerous’ Abdul B after 1 killed, 16 injured at LGBTQ festival
German police are hunting 21-year-old suspect Abdul B after a van attack near Berlin's Christopher Street Day Pride festival killed 1 and injured 16.
The suspect is known to police as a member of 'Islamic circles in Berlin', according to a police spokesperson.
The van drove into Tiergarten park around 10 pm on July 25, hitting pedestrians before colliding with a tree; some victims were also stabbed.
A woman was killed; 3 people sustained life-threatening injuries and 8 others were seriously hurt.
Police warned the public to avoid direct contact as Abdul B may be armed and dangerous; a search of an apartment in Schoneberg found no one.
