'Cooperation on trust can't be expected': Indian envoy at UN over Indus Waters Treaty row with Pakistan

India told the UN that cooperation under the Indus Waters Treaty cannot be expected while Pakistan uses cross-border terrorism as state policy.

India's Permanent Representative Parvathaneni Harish spoke at the UN Security Council High-Level Open Debate on natural resources governance.

Harish said Jammu and Kashmir has always been, is, and will remain an integral and inalienable part of India.

He accused Pakistan of misusing the UN platform to peddle false narratives and ignoring the constitutional reality of Kashmir.

Harish noted the only outstanding issue regarding Jammu and Kashmir is Pakistan's illegal occupation of India's sovereign territory.
