Bidadi survey team attacked, 2 attempt to murder cases filed

Police in Ramanagara district registered two attempted murder cases after government officials surveying land for the proposed Bidadi Township project were attacked in Mandalahalli village.
The survey team was deputed by the joint measurement committee; a government surveyor and police inspector Murali filed complaints.
Farmers staged a road blockade and allegedly struck officials with brooms and pelted stones; a group supporting the project also arrived, leading to clashes.
Additional police have been deployed; no arrests have been made yet.
Union Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy said officials reached without prior notice but urged women farmers not to take law into their own hands, and stated legal efforts are under way to stop the project.
