'Jana Nayagan' producer credits Vijay's 'magic' for the film's strong BO

Producer K Venkat Narayana credited Vijay's stardom and emotional connection with audiences for 'Jana Nayagan''s strong box office run.

The film faced certification delays from the CBFC, receiving an 'A' certificate instead of the hoped-for U/A, and was leaked online months before release.

Despite these challenges, 'Jana Nayagan' crossed Rs 200 crore worldwide within four days and continues a strong theatrical run.

The film was originally planned for a Pongal release but finally reached cinemas on July 23 after a six-month delay.
