Ariana Grande withdraws from London musical and will take a break from the public eye

Ariana Grande has withdrawn from the London stage musical 'Sunday in the Park With George' at the Barbican theater in 2027, where she was to star alongside Jonathan Bailey.

Grande's representative told People magazine that she will step back from visibility after completing the Eternal Sunshine Tour, citing endless public scrutiny.

The withdrawal follows her breakup with 'Wicked' co-star Ethan Slater, the ongoing tour, and last week's release of the album 'Petal'.

Empire Street Productions stated the musical will open next summer as planned, with casting to be announced later.

Grande has previously spoken out about discomfort with public discourse around her body, including in a 2023 TikTok video.
