Family of three die by suicide amid financial distress

A family of three from Pimpri allegedly died by suicide amid prolonged financial distress.

The 50-year-old man, his 45-year-old wife, and 19-year-old daughter consumed a poisonous substance at their residence in Morwadi.

Police recovered a suicide note stating the man took the step due to mounting debt and severe financial losses.

The man, who had a Master's in Computer, lost his job in November 2024 and was unemployed since then.

Police are investigating the family's financial transactions, loan records, and online investment activities.
