CWG 2026 Day 9 medal table: India’s standing after historic six-medal day

India won six medals on Day 9 of the 2026 Commonwealth Games, raising their total to 23 (5 gold, 12 silver, 6 bronze), and remained 10th in the standings, one medal behind Wales.

Harsh Singh became India's first male Commonwealth judo champion by winning men's 60kg gold, beating Australia's Joshua Katz 10-0.

Neeraj Chopra secured javelin silver, Yash Vir Singh won bronze, and Tejaswin Shankar earned India's first decathlon medal.

Yamini Mourya added a judo silver, contributing to India's best-ever single-day medal haul at the Games.
