Shagufta Ali says Govinda is a bigger perfectionist than Aamir Khan based on their work on Hero No. 1.

Govinda would rehearse a scene up to 25 times and insist on multiple retakes until satisfied, exhausting co-stars.

Govinda often arrived late on set, causing frustration among co-stars like Kader Khan.

Despite delays and perfectionism, Shagufta described Govinda as a very nice and fun-loving person.

Shagufta recalled that outdoor shoots for Hero No. 1 in Ooty felt like a paid holiday.
