Background
BRICS countries face common challenges such as large and diverse populations, rural-urban disparities, rising burden of chronic and non-communicable diseases, and pressure on health workforce. The dialogue builds on findings of BRICS Health Track Technical Working Group 4 (TWG-4) on continuity of care, emphasizing the need for interoperable digital health infrastructure.

Interoperable digital health records based on open standards and robust governance help bridge information gaps, improve clinical decision-making, reduce duplication of services, and strengthen referrals and follow-ups.
Responsible AI is already being used to enhance healthcare delivery, but no country can build the future of AI-enabled healthcare alone.
BRICS countries share common challenges including large populations, rural-urban inequalities, rising NCD burden, and health workforce pressures.
The dialogue emphasized digital public infrastructure and AI as key enablers for seamless, patient-centered healthcare across BRICS nations.
The session discussed the importance of coordinated and seamless healthcare delivery across different levels, providers, and countries.
