Background

The Ken-Betwa Link Project is a river-linking initiative under the National Perspective Plan for water transfer from the Ken river to the Betwa river. It aims to irrigate drought-prone areas in Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh but has faced opposition from tribal communities and environmentalists due to displacement and ecological concerns.
