Bharat Forge is a part of the Kalyani Group and has a strong presence in aerospace and defence manufacturing. FLYING WHALES is a French-Canadian aerospace company specializing in heavy-lift airship technology. The MoU was signed during the Farnborough International Airshow 2026.

The partnership focuses on the LCA60T heavy-lift airship, capable of transporting up to 60 tonnes of cargo.
The LCA60T features vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) capability and hybrid-electric propulsion.
The airship requires minimal ground infrastructure and is designed for remote and challenging terrains.
Applications include military logistics, strategic mobility, disaster response, ISR missions, and communication relay.
The collaboration aims to establish indigenous manufacturing in line with Aatmanirbhar Bharat and Make in India.
The MoU was signed by Guru Biswal (CEO – Aerospace, Bharat Forge) and Sébastien Bougon (President, FLYING WHALES).
Bharat Forge's share price was trading at Rs 2,189.50, just 2.12% below its 52-week high of Rs 2,236.95.
