Swiss woman abandons high-paying career, luxury lifestyle to educate kids in India: ‘Why was I given so much?’

Sandra Lavie Gojkovic left a high-paying corporate career in Switzerland 15 years ago to dedicate her life to service in India.

She started a school in India and works with NGOs on education, women's empowerment, and child protection programs.

She splits time between Switzerland (to fund her initiatives) and India, where she supports thousands of children's education.

Despite facing distrust as a foreigner and being mistaken for a Christian missionary, Gojkovic practices Sanatana Dharma.

She questioned her privilege ('Why was I given so much?') and chose grassroots activism over luxury lifestyle.
