India's schedule for Commonwealth Games 2026 released

India has sent a 125-member athlete contingent to the 2026 Glasgow Commonwealth Games, held from 23 July to 2 August.
The Games feature only 10 sports after Glasgow stepped in to host following Victoria's withdrawal, leading to the exclusion of cricket, badminton, and wrestling.
Neeraj Chopra, Mirabai Chanu, Lovlina Borgohain, and Nikhat Zareen are expected to lead India's medal charge.
The early part of the competition will feature qualification rounds, with boxing and weightlifting providing early medal opportunities.
Athletics begins later in the Games, and with fewer events overall, every result will significantly impact India's final medal tally.
