Devanshi Yadav adopted her daughter Vanmayi Devanshi Yadav as a single mother.

Yadav first decided to adopt when she was 14 years old.

She is a sexual abuse survivor and daughter of an army martyr and a police officer.

She taught at an orphanage in Delhi and helped a baby girl get cochlear implants, which was a turning point.

Yadav chose to adopt a girl to counter female infanticide and to raise a strong daughter.
