In tears after injury exit, Tejaswin stays back to guide Kushare to silver

Tejaswin Shankar withdrew from the men's high jump after a patellar tendon injury flare-up during his opening attempt at the Commonwealth Games.

Tejaswin, bronze medalist in 2022, stayed at the venue to guide compatriot Sarvesh Kushare, who won silver.

Kushare credited Tejaswin's technical advice for helping him regain his rhythm after a shaky start at 2.25m.
