Scott Edwards steps down as Netherlands captain; Bas de Leede to lead

Scott Edwards stepped down as Netherlands captain after leading in 56 ODIs since June 2022.

Bas de Leede, a fast-bowling all-rounder, will take over as captain.

Under Edwards, the Netherlands recorded wins against South Africa and Bangladesh in the 2023 ODI World Cup.

Edwards will continue playing for the Netherlands as a player.
