IShowSpeed covered the World Cup as a content creator for FIFA, Fox Sports, and YouTube, and livestreamed from Hard Rock Stadium during Argentina’s match against Cape Verde on July 3.

A fan in an Argentina jersey allegedly directed racist abuse at IShowSpeed, telling the Black streamer to “go cry to the zoo” during his livestream.

FIFA opened an investigation into the alleged racist abuse, stating it “strongly condemns racism, hate and discrimination in all forms.”

The false ban rumor originated from social media speculation and was repeated by some websites, but the real focus is FIFA’s probe into the abuse incident.
