IIT Kanpur launches online course on Advanced DS and ML for Business Analytics

IIT Kanpur has launched a six-month online certificate course on Advanced Data Science and Machine Learning for Business Analytics, starting October 3, 2026.

The course provides practical training in Python and R programming, data analysis, data visualisation, machine learning, and generative AI.

It is designed for working professionals, with eligibility requiring a graduation degree with 55% aggregate, or 40% with three or more years of work experience.

Admissions are open until mid-September 2026, with the course developed in collaboration with faculty from leading IITs and IIMs.

Prof. Abhinav Tripathi of IIT Kanpur's Department of Management Sciences noted that AI/ML skills are essential for career growth and organizational transformation.
