Florida woman arrested after hoarding 80 cats and 12 dogs in a home with no AC, a foot of faeces and horrific living conditions

A 77-year-old Florida woman was arrested after 80 cats and 12 dogs were found in her Stuart, Martin County home.

The home had no working air conditioning, temperatures over 110°F, and up to a foot of animal feces on the floor.

A Martin County Fire Rescue hazmat team ventilated the house before animal control could enter due to hazardous air quality.

Rescued animals were taken to the Humane Society of the Treasure Coast for medical care and rehabilitation.
