Ellora-Ghrushneshwar Cleanliness Is Collective Responsibility: Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Divisional

Divisional Commissioner G Sreekanth directed agencies to coordinate for solid waste management at Ellora Caves and Ghrushneshwar Temple.

Officials were instructed to implement Solid Waste Management Rules, 2026 and prepare a DPR for a solid waste processing centre.

Sreekanth emphasized collective responsibility and administered a cleanliness pledge to stakeholders.

Additional manpower, beautification drives, public awareness, and penalties for littering were ordered during peak tourist seasons.

Wet and dry waste segregation at source and increased participation of women's self-help groups were encouraged.
