7 Britons among 13 killed in Spain wildfire; grieving family says 'heartbroken'

Seven British nationals were among 13 people killed in a wildfire in Spain's Almería province.

The dead included eight women and five men, with 12 foreign nationals from the UK, Belgium, France, and the US, and one Spanish citizen.

The wildfire scorched around 7,000 hectares and forced nearly 1,500 people to flee their homes.

British couple Pete and Fran Gillam died; their daughter confirmed their deaths and expressed heartbreak.
