'Mujhe Sanghi banna hai': BJP MP Kangana Ranaut defends remarks, says wants to be an 'awakened Hindu'

BJP MP Kangana Ranaut defended her remarks and said she wants to become a 'Sanghi' and embrace the ideology of the BJP and RSS.

Ranaut said she used to be a 'moderate Hindu' and now wants to convert into a 'defined and awakened Hindu'.

In a video message, Ranaut criticized other Hindu actors for becoming 'leftist' after marrying or coming in contact with Islamists.

She questioned why conversion is not allowed for moderate Hindus like herself, citing the constitution's guarantee of freedom.

Ranaut made the comments in response to criticism over her statements against recent student protests.
