Major Terminal Shuffle At Mumbai CSMIA Airport: Akasa Air To Completely Shift To T2 While Air India Express

Akasa Air will move all domestic and international operations to Terminal-2 (T2) at Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) from August 1.

Air India Express will shift its domestic flights to Terminal-1 (T1) from October 1, while international flights remain at T2.

The restructuring aims to balance operational load, maximize turnaround efficiencies, and optimize passenger flow at the airport.

After the shifts, T1 will serve only four carriers: IndiGo, SpiceJet, Star Air, and Alliance Air as a dedicated domestic base.

CSMIA is the second-busiest airport in India and the busiest single runway airport globally, handling over 55 million passengers annually.
