Godzilla vs Kong star Kaylee Hottle dies at 18

Kaylee Hottle, who played Jia in Godzilla vs Kong, died at 18 after a car accident in Maryland.

Hottle was born in Georgia to parents Ketsi Carlson and Joshua Hottle, and her family has four generations of deafness on her father's side.

Hottle was fluent in American Sign Language and was a student at the Texas School for the Deaf.

Her father Joshua Hottle shared the news of her death in a tearful Facebook video, explaining that the accident occurred in Maryland.

Hottle was discovered for Godzilla vs Kong by casting director Sarah Halley Finn after appearing in a commercial.
