Karnataka: 1.43 Lakh Cusecs Flow Into the Bhima River, Vijayapura on High Alert

Heavy rainfall in Maharashtra caused release of 1.43 lakh cusecs of water into the Bhima River from Ujani and Veer dams.

Water levels are expected to rise in Vijayapura district.

Authorities issued a flood alert and safety advisory for the area.
