Pune Contractor Dies By Suicide; 12 Booked For Alleged Abetment In Business Dispute

Khalil Rajjullal Sheikh, 65, died by suicide at his Pune home in Gultekdi after years of financial disputes over his centring business.

Sheikh recorded a video and left a suicide note blaming 12 named individuals, including Balasaheb Shedge, for harassment and illegal retention of materials.

His wife Sultana Khalil Sheikh filed a complaint leading to a case under BNS Sections 108, 316(2), 351(2), 352, and 3(5) for abetment of suicide.

Among the accused are former MLA Ravindra Dhangekar, who denies involvement and claims the project Utkarsh suffered delays and he exited in 2025.

Police have seized the suicide note, video, and electronic evidence; investigation is underway by Swargate Police under DCP Milind Mohite.
