Vishal TK exits in 400m semifinals as Nigerian star smashes Commonwealth Games record

India's national record holder Vishal TK finished sixth in the men's 400m semifinal at Commonwealth Games 2026, clocking 46.33 seconds.

Nigeria's Samuel Ogazi won Semifinal 1 in a Commonwealth Games record time of 44.52 seconds.

Vishal TK became the first Indian man to break the 45-second barrier earlier this year with a national record of 44.98 seconds.

The 22-year-old from Tamil Nadu failed to advance; only top two from each semifinal and next two fastest overall reached the final.
