Neeraj Chopra aims for javelin gold at CWG 2026

Neeraj Chopra will compete in the men's javelin throw at the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland, after missing the 2022 edition due to a groin injury.

He aims to break the Commonwealth Games record of 90.18m set by Pakistan's Arshad Nadeem.

Chopra can surpass his own national record of 90.23m, which he set at the Doha Diamond League in 2025.

He has a chance to become the first Indian athlete to win two Commonwealth gold medals in athletics.

The qualification round is on July 30 and the final on July 31, 2026.
