Telangana CM Revanth Reddy announces foreign study tours for government teachers every year

Telangana CM A Revanth Reddy announced annual foreign study tours for government teachers, modeled after IAS and IPS officer visits abroad.

The tours aim to give teachers global exposure and skill upgrades; the government will bear the costs.

Reddy instructed authorities to prepare a report by December outlining an action plan for the next academic year, clustering mandals.

The state government spends ₹1.08 lakh per student, and Reddy questioned why parents prefer private schools where they spend ₹50,000.

Reddy defended his education portfolio against opposition demands to resign, citing initiatives like breakfast provision, teacher recruitment, transforming ITIs into ATCs, and establishing a Skills University.
