Uttar Pradesh showed extraordinary collective resolve under ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’: PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised Uttar Pradesh for planting more than 350 million saplings in a single day under the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign.

Modi made the remark during the 136th episode of Mann Ki Baat on July 27, 2026.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath thanked Modi for the appreciation and highlighted the state's collective commitment to environmental conservation.

Adityanath stated that Uttar Pradesh has demonstrated the foundation for a ‘Viksit Bharat’ through public participation in the campaign.

Modi noted that trees are home to countless living creatures and emphasized societal responsibility toward nature.
