Sakshi Choudhary’s Glasgow CWG boxing gold speaks to her dedication and daredevilry

Sakshi Choudhary won gold in the women's 51kg category at the 2026 Glasgow Commonwealth Games, beating England's Ruby White 5-0.
She qualified for CWG 2026 by defeating Minakshi Hooda and Nikhat Zareen in the national trials, after dropping to a lower weight category.
India won a record 10 boxing medals at the 2026 CWG, including seven golds, boosting India to 4th in the medal tally.
Prior to CWG 2026, Sakshi had won the 2015 junior World Championship and the 54kg category at the World Boxing Cup in Astana, Uzbekistan last year.
Her father Manoj Kumar expressed confidence she will win gold at the Asian Games and Olympics.
